Emily Rose Sheaffer

Emily is so thankful to God for every opportunity to be involved with theater. In the past her favorite roles have been in productions such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “Tommy,” “Lend Me a Tenor,” and “Romeo & Juliet.” Being a part of this production of “The Glass Menagerie” can now be added to that list of favorites! She loves becoming part of the times and the characters that she portrays. In the role of Laura, she is able to motivate a feeling of empathy, which seems to mimic Tennessee Williams’ feelings for his real-life sister, Rose. For a play full of symbolism, it’s of interest to note the name connection to Emily herself. Despite the intensity of this play, it contains a depth that is fulfilling to witness and elicits a response from the audience to the realities of their own lives. She has enjoyed the challenge of becoming Laura and is always eager for the next role to come!
