Lighting and sound worksohp

Picture
Do you love live theater, but just can't see yourself on stage? Or maybe you love acting but would also enjoy getting involved behind the stage!

Whatever your experience level, now is your chance to learn all about theater lighting and sound design. VCCT is offering a free one-evening workshop and invites you to join us.

In this three-hour workshop, you will learn the basics of theater lighting and sound. You'll learn about the different types of lights, how to set them up, and the basic of creating an effective lighting design. In addition, you'll be introduced to Q-Lab, the computer program we use to run the lights during a production.

From there, you get an overview of sound design for community theater. You'll learn about different types of microphones, how they are used for live performances, and a basic overview of the Behringer X32, the soundboard we use to run sound during a production.

This workshop will equip you with sufficient knowledge to assist in light and sound design as well as the ability to assist in the booth during live performances.
